Who We Are (Mission)

Chef Revival Ministries is a faith-based grass roots evangelistic outreach ministry focused on serving our local community thru providing warm meals to the most vulnerable in our community and those facing food insecurity. We are dedicated to being the hands and feet of Jesus to make a meaningful impact, building relationships, cultivating community, promoting dignity and bringing hope to those of our brothers and sisters in need. We operate on the idea that, as the burning bush was to Moses drawing him closer to God, for this “modern” world WE are the burning bushes. We are THAT opportunity for others to be drawn to God by the fire they see within us, always burning, never consuming- and the LOVE that we have and show for each other.

Chef Revival Ministries was founded by Melissa & Jeffrey Caddick in Evansville, IN in August of 2022; we earned our ServSafe Certification in November of 2022; were incorporated in the State of Indiana in October of 2023; we officially became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in early-2024.        

Presently we are preparing warm meals that we serve every Saturday in Evansville, IN. We are using the kitchen @ The Dream Center for cooking & packaging the warm meals. Then we head out to deliver to:  between 50-60 houses in the Jacobsville & Jimtown neighborhoods;  those we encounter on the street in these neighborhoods; residents of transitional family housing; residents of transitional veteran housing; those present @ the United Caring Shelter around dinner time; other houses & apartments in the downtown area; those present around the Salvation Army around late-afternoon, early-evening; select locations on the North Side of Evansville.    

One of the secrets to the success of growing our ministry is that we ALWAYS show up EVERY Saturday, rain, snow, heat, it doesn’t matter as we make ourselves available to serve our people warm meals, converse with them, laugh with them, cry with them, pray for them & encourage them.  We build relationships!     

Meals Served Milestones: August 2022, 12 meals; December 2022, 88 meals; December 2023, 100 meals; December 2024, 160 meals; December 2025, 480 meals.    

Our goal is to get into a food truck so that we can go into these communities and cook the food there and by being in one location for the day, it will allow us to be even more present, have deeper relationships and greater evangelistic opportunities with those that we serve.

What we Do (Strategy)

Meal Ministry

Every Saturday, volunteers come together in the commissary kitchen at The Deam Center to cook and package warm meals. Then they head out to deliver the meals to houses, apartments, transitional housing, homeless shelters, women's shelters, weekly rate hotels, anywhere where homeless or otherwise underserved people in need might be, including to people in the street. We take this opportunity to fellowship with the people to build relationships. Our meal ministry requires 3-4 volunteers every Saturday, with the greatest need being from 10 AM to 1 or 2 PM @ The Dream Center cooking & packaging the warm meals.

Food Truck Ministry

Our goal is to transition our meal ministry into a food truck ministry, where every Saturday we take our food truck into the community and cook the food there moving around from weekend to weekend to gain the maximum area of coverage in the neighborhoods we are serving. Being at each location for a longer period of time will allow us to be even more present, have deeper relationships and greater evangelistic opportunities with those that we serve. Our food truck ministry would require 6-8 volunteers every Saturday, minimum of 2 people cooking, 2 people serving, 2-4 people fellowshipping with the people.
